Our commitments
People, Product, Planet
Three pillars guide everything we do: people, our products and the planet. We're not perfect, but we try to get a little closer every day.
People.
An inclusive community that expresses its individuality and represents every colour of the rainbow.

Encouraging everyone to express their individuality
In partnership with the It Gets Better Project, our Rainbowtiful kit helps everyone see every colour of the rainbow. For every product sold, a donation is made to this non-profit, whose mission is to uplift and connect LGBTQ+ youth around the world, with a minimum pledged donation of $10,000.

Working with local ESATs
To prepare our magical products, we work with local partners in France and the United States who employ people with mental and/or physical disabilities. Our goal: to support their employment and the social economy, and to fight exclusion and discrimination.
ESAT: French sheltered-employment organisations for people with disabilities.
(Re)giving
At Merci Handy, we don't work with one particular charity. We help wherever we can, for anyone in need, to try to make their everyday life a little more extraordinary.
“At Merci Handy, we champion an inclusive community that expresses its individuality and represents every colour of the rainbow. The It Gets Better Project's mission is one we support wholeheartedly, and we're proud to partner with them.”Louis Marty, co-founder & CEO

Effective, clean formulas that are good for your skin.
Our list of controversial ingredients
Beyond how natural and effective our formulas are, we work hard to make sure they're good for your body and skin. That's why we go further than the regulations, with a list of controversial cosmetic ingredients we refuse to use.

PETA certification
A big job for our product teams: we changed all our formulas to remove animal-derived ingredients (our former cleansing gels and our hand cream, for example, contained lactose, which we no longer use). Today, we don't use any ingredients from animals. Apart from unicorn tears, just to make you laugh.

Our packaging rules
Rule no. 1: we're not perfect, but we're trying to get closer.
Rule no. 2: we favour cardboard kits over plastic, like our best-selling Rainbeautiful kit or our Christmas kits.
Rule no. 3: we choose glass or recycled plastic. Glass has a 75% recycling rate (21% for plastic) and it's more natural (it's made from sand).
Rule no. 4: we try to give our packaging a second life: from the very start, we work with our design team on packs you'll want to reuse (our candles, our face spray, our Christmas kits…).
Rule no. 5: always remember rule no. 1.
Planet.
Reducing our footprint, one bottle at a time.

Merci Handy 100% carbon neutral
Our goal is to reduce our carbon footprint as much as possible. First, we measure the emissions from all our activities. Then, we reduce our impact by using recycled, recyclable and reusable materials. Finally, we offset the remaining carbon with carbon credits.
This means that the CO2 equivalent produced when making our products, running our company and shipping our orders is offset.

100% recycled plastic for our gels
Our hand cleansing gel bottles (30 ml and 300 ml) are made from 100% everyday plastic waste collected at sea, recycled and turned into bottles. A way to give plastic a second life while avoiding producing more.
